"The Basic Requirements" - 2 Day Travel Health Course
Supported and Approved by H.P.S. (Health Protection Scotland)
This TREC course is recognised by the Royal College of Nursing in their 2005 guidelines “Delivering travel health services – RCN guidance for nursing staff”. It is proving to be particularly popular with GPs, practice nurses, treatment room nurses, school nurses and occupational health nurses.
This 2 day course is designed for any health professionals who are involved or interested in the provision of travel health advice and vaccine administration. On most courses we have participants from various fields of health care – practice and treatment room nurses, occupational health nurses, school nurses, medics and GPs. This course is ideal for those who are new to the field of travel medicine, but is also popular with anyone wishing to update and expand their current knowledge.
Our policy is to keep the course numbers to approx. 20 which allows for a relaxed and interactive atmosphere and the opportunity to ask plenty of questions!
TREC courses are organised by Sheila Hall and other guest lecturers, who all have experience and further qualifications in the field of travel medicine.

"TREC Further" - Study Day

Our follow up study days are being offered to those who have attended one of our Basic Requirement Courses.
Again we restrict numbers to approx 20 to allow for informal teaching sessions. This study day includes updates, revision and information on a range of topics, and is designed to expand on information from the original course. Participants are encouraged to bring a topic or issue for discussion.
Cost = £120 For study days in Glasgow and Edinburgh
