The RCN Foundation Spring 2018 Educational Grants are now Open – Three grants providing up to £5,000 in funding opened for applications on 01 March 2018
The Professional Bursary Scheme supports individuals in learning and development activities such as post-graduate university study or professional short courses. Learning from these activities should enhance patient care, patient experience and development in nursing practice. Applications are welcome from those who wish to focus on the following two areas:
- primary care nursing
- long term/chronic conditions
We will fund projects focussing on a number of issues including, but not limited to, the following: obesity, mental health, children and young people’s services, older people, and dementia.
The RCN Foundation Monica Baly bursary is awarded annually for the promotion of scholarship in nursing history. The bursary is for a minimum of £300 and a maximum of £1,000 which the winner can use to undertake activities related to the history of nursing, including courses, projects, or research.
The RCN Foundation Mair Scholarship awards up to £5,000 to occupational health nurses to enhance the high standard of practice in Scotland, through courses that will aid career progression and development in occupational health nursing.
