Venue Information

The majority of our courses are based in Scotland but over the past few years we have been asked to provide courses throughout the British Isles including  Winchester, Durham, Leeds, Liverpool and “overseas” to Belfast, Cork and Dublin!
(If we do not currently have a course scheduled in your area, please contact us and we will let you know if we are to be in your region).

The courses are held in central locations and are timetabled between 9.00am and 4pm allowing travel time for those coming from outwith the area.

Our Edinburgh and Glasgow venues are accessible from all over the UK with the introduction of economy airline flights to both cities.
Booking of advance Apex fares also makes train travel very cost effective.
Here are some of the venues that we have used regularly over the past few years and some new 2017 additions:

The Carlton Bridge Centre is a new purpose built venue designed for the Carlton Bridge Club (yes – card game!) They have excellent teaching facilities with in-house catering to suit our needs. Situated near the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh it is easily accessible by bus or train – if you don’t like the idea of negotiating Edinburgh traffic.

Glasgow, House for an Art Lover
2011 found us discovering a new Glasgow venue which  provides a peaceful and artistic setting for the courses. House For an Art Lover is a popular venue for weddings and special occassions but they now provide facilities for teaching and training events. Set in lovely gardens and with in-house catering, we are confident that you will discover this to be the best training venue you will ever visit!

We have had to say goodbye to the facilities that we used at Southampton University and will be using the Holiday Inn, Southampton.  It is within walking distance from Southampton Central railway station and only 5 miles from Southampton Airport. A direct train from Waterloo Station takes just over an hour – so easy if you are travelling from London! There is also free parking at the venue.

We are always delighted to be heading back to the excellent facilities provided by the Conference Centre attached to St Gemma’s Hospice. Assured of a very professional and warm welcome in this lovely facility – one of our best venues.

This modern, purpose built facility has the benefit of ample parking and easy access from main transport routes. The Durham Centre is also very close to a Premier Travel Inn if you require overnight accommodation.

Just 10 minutes walk from Lyme Street Station and opposite the modern Liverpool Cathedral, is the Liverpool Medical Institution. A well established centre for education and an ideal spot for our course.

MAC Birmingham is a new venue for us this year.  Just two miles South of the city centre, it is a bustling arts centre with conference facilities.
